That last detail was doing double duty as a tease for a new product from Bieber coming our way soon. The mogul shared on Instagram that she had been road-testing another Rhode cheek product, like a new blush, that would be part of a November release around her 30th birthday. Rhode has continued to expand its cheek category, with a recent collaboration with Alexandra Leclerc to create Pocket Pearl, a miniature, reflective riff on the original formula.
It is easy to see why Quotidien is such a covetable spot. Lighting director Frédéric Dorieux has said that the team aims for light that is soft, even, and full without flattening the face. The show’s circular set, with guests seated at its center and surrounded by the audience, allows the light to reach them from multiple perspectives, while strategically placed sources help give hair, skin, and eyes glow. When you’re Hailey Bieber, that dab of lip gloss, sweep of blush ,and glint of highlighter gets its moment.
Not that Bieber needs much assistance, with dewy skin and softly flushed cheeks becoming central to the Rhode universe. The glazed-donut complexion, of course, helped define an entire beauty cycle. Seeing the internet’s foremost disciple of glow meet the internet’s foremost purveyor of good lighting, though, feels quite satisfying—who else needs another excuse to update that Sephora cart?
