Singer (and actor!) Billie Eilish is booked, busy, and staying in the salon. Earlier this week, the artist posted a classic photo dump filled with images of her pitbull Shark (a former Dogue cover star), a pumpkin patch, and other candid snapshots from her life recently. But the cover photo—a selfie—also revealed her new strawberry blonde hair.
It’s been five years since Eilish went platinum blonde, debuting a Marilyn Monroe-esque bob styled in Old Hollywood waves at the 2021 Met Gala. Since then, we have seen her go back to a glossy black and later dye her signature “ghost roots” red.
Then, in August of this year, Eilish was spotted filming Sarah Polley’s upcoming adaptation of The Bell Jar in Canada. At the time, her hair was a light auburn shade, suiting her role as Esther Greenwood, who is described as being brunette in Sylvia Plath’s 1963 novel.
Eilish must have liked the change, as she’s taken the tone a shade lighter with this new strawberry blonde look. Only she—and her colorist—can say where things will go next.
