After 10 years at the helm of Saint Laurent, creative director Anthony Vaccarello is departing the house.
Vaccarello, whose spring 2027 show marked his 10th anniversary at Saint Laurent, has become a celebrity favorite thanks to his ability to telegraph power and sexuality through sheer, slinky gowns and sharp-shouldered suits with equal measure.
Throughout his tenure, Vaccarello has dressed everyone from ’90s supermodels Amber Valletta and Kate Moss to early-days Olivia Dean and Mikey Madison. And he keeps a wide-ranging stable of muses: Charlotte Casiraghi, Chloë Sevigny, Rosé, Anja Rubik, Hailey Bieber, Charli xcx, and Zoë Kravitz among them. These Saint Laurent loyalists have seen him through his viral rhinestone-studded boots, micro florals with ’80s power shoulders, oversized taffeta ruffles, and the return of the smoking jacket.
But it’s Kravitz who’s become the de facto face of Saint Laurent. Vaccarello’s relationship with Kravitz spans his entire decade at the house, beginning with the fall 2017 iris dress she wore to that year’s Venice Film Festival, through her black lace pannier gown at the 2026 Met Gala. The house even released a book, aptly titled Zoë, in honor of the pair’s bond.
Here, take a look back at Anthony Vaccarello’s 10-year tenure at Saint Laurent and revisit some of his best looks.
