Very light exfoliation with almost-not-there scent
This arrives with a frosted low jar of the powder in a nice box. The jar has a shaker cover, like a salt shaker, to allow the dispensing of the powder without dumping it. You shake the jar into your hand to make a small deposit of powder (with a VERY light scent, it’s barely there) and then wet that and scrub your face with the dark red paste it makes.The paste is kind of messy, and it has very light exfoliation. You can smell the scent while scrubbing your face, but once you rinse it off with the water and dry your face, there’s no residual scent of rose.It seems to do the job well overall because it leaves your face feeling soft. My only issue is the almost complete absence of scent (I thought it would have a stronger smell) and the messy application of the paste that can leave blops of paste bits around the sink that need to be cleaned up.

A Little Too Pricy For My Face
Well, there’s a tale to be told here. I really enjoy having a fresh and clean looking face. I’ve tried a lot of products some just for the sake of trying it. So when I saw this I, of course, had to have it. That’s my nature. Well, it arrived and I was totally underwhelmed by the size of the package. I knew it was going to be small but it was soooo small for the price! But then luxury isn’t called luxury for nothing. As long as it worked . . .So I read the instructions which seemed pretty easy and headed off to my sink and mirror. Shook a little into my dry left palm and mixed it with, ooops, wait a minute. When I went to mix it with water it went all over the sink. It is a pretty pink/purple when wet. I didn’t realize how light this stuff was. I stopped breathing for fear of losing any more. Switched hands, cleaned and dried, and tried again. This time I used too little water out of an abundance of caution and it was a paste that didn’t spread very far. That was my first encounter with the product.I waited a while before mounting that particular horse again and had a scathingly brilliant idea. I have an electronic, circular rotation, facial scrubber that I like to use with various serums and cleaning lotions. Why not wet it and it do the spreading. So I shook (Oh, yeah. It says to take a pinch into your palm, but it comes in a shaker capped container.) some onto the circular scrubber after wetting the submersible device and it didn’t run or bind up. I then took a plant mister to water it down a bit and commenced to scrubbing. It worked. It didn’t blow off or fall off. It was like waxing a car. (I’m sure Froya loves that analogy.)So that was my experience, but now to the facts provided by the seller. It is made of Arctic Rose Petals (rose flour) and Rice Flour. It also container apricot seeds or kernels from inside the pits of the fruit. (I used to use apricot scrub in my 30’s.) The container holds 1.01 ounce or 30 milliliters when purchased. It is paraben free, synthetic fragrance free and harsh chemical free. It is one part of a 4 part system. If you are going to try this product the only reasonable way to use it “frequently” is to use Subscribe and Save which as of this day (03/11/26) lowers the price $12.25 per bottle.Part of the product page is praising comments by Cosmopolitan, Harper’s Bazaar and Elle, and I am sure that they did some research that supports Froya’s claims, but from my point of view, it is an okay and overpriced product that is really relying on the apricot scrub from many years ago with some “elevated” ingredients included. That is only my opinion. I have no facts but only my experience to back up my opinion. Nevertheless I am going to give this ultra facial scrub 3 Stars. And move on to the next facial cleanser.

Very fine powder, does seem effective, natural ingredients
This review is for the Frøya Organics Ultra Cleanse & Revive Face Scrub | Gentle Exfoliating Scrub with Arctic Rose Petals & Rice Powder | Natural Botanical Formula for Smooth Radiant Skin | 30mlThis scrub is a very fine powder, I knew to expect this but it still surprised me upon opening. It is a bit difficult to get the powder to water ratio right to make it into a scrub, and even then I thought it felt a little off. It does seem to work though but it’s a different feel than I am used to.Based on my experience with it I would have gone 3 stars but I do like that the ingredient list is very natural without a bunch of chemicals or things I can’t pronounce. For that reason I bumped it up a star and I would say if this isn’t a financial stretch then give it a try.
