Absolutely love this product!
I love this serum!! This is the only serum I use in conjunction with a face oil that keeps me from getting breakouts. When breakouts even think of coming, this product helps fight them so they don’t fully appear. I have been using it for over a year and I rarely, I mean RARELY get breakouts. Maybe only one or two at most a year. Love this stuff.

Love this stuff
I really enjoy miss spa product. This time it surprises me again. I previously used their clockstopper retinol repairing serum around my eye area, and I was super happy with their product. Lately I have some acne on my forehead due to stress, I got their coarse correct blemish banishing serum. It really helped to dry out my acne and clear out my skin within 2-3 days. As I have hypersensitive skin, I have no bad reaction to their product. So far I have no new breakouts either. This serum contains azelaic acid, hyaluronic acid and aloe leaf juice and it feels very moisturizing and I enjoy the cool feeling after applying it on my skin. 40 mL for 15 bucks… kind of pricey but it is totally worth it.

Question Effectiveness; Gentle, Light Gel Texture
Azelaic acid is a naturally occurring acid found in grains such as barley, wheat, and rye. It has antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties, which make it effective in the treatment of skin conditions like acne and rosacea. The acid can prevent future outbreaks and clean bacteria from your pores that cause acne.Depending on the severity of your acne and the cause, azelaic acid may not be effective. For me, the only thing that worked for my particular acne issue was using low dose adapalene a few times a week, only on my affected areas, and keeping my skincare no-frills and simple. Still, I like to experiment with acne products when they come on the market to see how beneficial they might be.Be mindful too, it can take months to see if a new acne product is effective against acne because of the nature of the skin’s lifecycle and turnover. And often acne will appear worse before it gets better when starting a new skincare regime. In my case, I already have well-controlled acne. So this is more of a review on the feel and use of this product. The Miss Spa Coarse Correct Blemish Banishing Serum is gentle, non-irritating, but I think the makers need to reconsider the packaging. First, when this arrived, it came as is. Just the 1.35oz tube with pump and cap. No safety seal. No sealed box. And in my case, the cap had come off and the screwed on collar of the pump dispenser was loose. Thankfully, I did not lose any product in transit. But a heads up to the manufacturer. You need to find an eco-friendly way to safety seal or keep your screw-pump in place for transport. While I have well-controlled acne, I will still get the rare minor blemish elsewhere on my face from hormones or a reaction to a new product. I happened to develop a small pimple and decided to use this serum on it. I assume this is intended as a preventative serum meant to go all over the face daily, but I mostly applied it to one spot and found it did little to speed up the healing process. While Miss Spa highlights azelaic acid, hyaluronic acid, and aloe leaf juice, there is a slew of other ingredients in this serum. The semi-clear lightweight gel has a hint of a scent; I’d call it medicinal. Not unpleasant, doesn’t linger, and isn’t from an added fragrance. A couple of pumps is more than enough to cover your entire face. The spreadability is nice and it absorbs q-u-i-c-k-l-y. Leaves a slightly dry-tacky feel to my skin. But once I apply my moisturizer, it doesn’t matter. Mattifies. But my pimple remained unchanged for several days. Can’t say if this prevented other acne as I was still using my regular adapalene on my regular acne-prone areas. I will note, I did not develop breakouts elsewhere, but I can’t say for sure if this serum was why. This serum is okay. Nothing special. Not unpleasant to use. Relatively inexpensive. Worth a try if you have mild acne only. If you have cystic acne, I don’t think this serum will be helpful.

Unscented
I can’t use it to the maximum because it was almost empty when it arrived. So whatever is left over from the leaked tube/container is what I tested. The cream feels like an aloe-y feeling. It is smooth and absorbs into the skin pretty well. It does not become sticky and has a very faint scent (which I prefer). No tingling effect either. I was concerned about the clumps that either it started drying out or that was the actual consistency. I did not use it on my sensitive face and opted to do it on the top of my hand. I am not sure if that will make a difference since it is specifically for the face. I am not sure about the overall effect since I was not able to take full advantage of the tube.

Azelic Acid & Hyaluronic Acid Are Last Few Ingredients…
This comes with no outer product box or wrapping of any kind. Just the tube. The tube has a cap and a pump dispenser.I get hormonal breakouts and they seem to take forever to go away and always leave marks behind. So, when the breakout finally goes away, it’s time for another one usually, and I’m left with a mark that never seems to go away where the last breakout was. So, I’m aways looking for products to help stop the breakouts or at least speed the healing process up! The reviews this had seemed to rave about it, so I had high hopes! This claims to have azelaic acid to help smooth skin and decrease inflammation, hyaluronic acid and aloe leaf juice to add hydration to keep skin from drying out. There’s 16 ingredients. Aloe leaf juice is the 2nd ingredient, but azelic acid (Potassium Azeloyl Diglycinate) is the 14th ingredient and hyaluronic acid is the 15th ingredient. I will NEVER understand why companies make claims about certain ingredients being in a product, and then have those ingredients be so low on the ingredient list?! The company is claiming this product has azelic acid, hyaluronic acid, and aloe leaf juice to help fight acne, inflammation, and hydrate the skin. It even lists those 3 ingredients on the front of the tube of this product. But then, 2 of those 3 ingredients are literally the last few ingredients! Why?! It’s annoying and I feel like it’s deceitful. But, anyways, it still had great reviews, so I still hoped for the best!It isn’t too thick or thin. It glides onto the skin easily and absorbs well. Doesn’t leave behind any residue. I didn’t notice this keeping breakouts away. I feel like the breakouts did go away SLIGHTLY quicker, but not much quicker. It didn’t dry out the area like a lot of acne fighting products do, so I liked that. Overall, this is okay. Like I said, I do feel maybe it helped my breakouts go away a little bit quicker and didn’t dry the area out. But, it’s not something I’d purchase, and given that it’s not something I’d really recommend.
