The first ingredient is technically sodium chloride rather than sucrose, which explains why the crystals dissolve relatively quickly in warm water. That said, the exfoliation I felt was genuine, and my skin came out softer rather than feeling like I’d used an abrasive too aggressively. The citrus scent is a bright, clean orange without any artificial edge. Jojoba and grapeseed oils in the base meant I didn’t need to apply a separate moisturizer after rinsing. I’ve been using this every other day and at this rate one jar should last two full months.

Works well, good consistency and doesn’t clog drains
I’ve been using this scrub consistently for a month and I’m quite happy with it. I did not find it to be too “thin” or.too water solvable. It’s a physical exfoliant, feels like one, does what it is supposed to and smells really nice. It does dissolve nicely when enough water is added or while rinsing which to me is a positive thing as I don’t want it to clog my drains. My skin feels smoother, brighter and smells citrusy after using it.

Salt scrub
Not sure why they call this a sugar scrub since the first ingredient is sodium chloride, or salt. Sucrose is listed as second, but water is the third ingredient and it’s thick like coarse clay so I imagine there isn’t a whole lot of sugar in there. Because of this, the salt crystals dissolve almost instantly in warm water and provide zero scrubbing. I wasn’t anticipating this and salt and vitamin C solution dripped into my eyes.I can say the scent is pleasant and it does leave your skin feeling nice and not stripped but I was looking for a scrub and this doesn’t deliver.

I liked the smell and feel of this sugar scrub a lot. I dinged it a star because my face felt somewhat inflamed/raw after using. This may have been how I react to all sugar scrubs, as this is the first I’ve ever tried. The feeling only lasted a short time and there was no redness. Overall, I’d recommend it if you have used sugar scrubs with no issues in the past. For those with sensitive skin, try an inconspicuous area first to see how your skin reacts to it.
