There’s been a lot of buzz around one particular one-woman show at Edinburgh Fringe 2026. Yes, I’m referring to Amanda Knox’s Cartwheel, an hour-long retelling of her wrongful imprisonment after the murder of her study-abroad roommate Meredith Kercher, which has drawn a range of reactions since it was announced. But that’s hardly the only Fringe show worth seeing this year (if you can get a ticket, anyway); below, five one-woman shows at Edinburgh Fringe to know about.

A homeowner’s worst nightmare—excitedly buying a house that turns out to be haunted after the death of its most recent inhabitant—is the subject of Kirsty Mann’s one-hour show, suffused with a galvanizing ghostliness that feels perfect for Summerween.

    Through August 30.

Francesca Moody, a producer behind Fringe smash hits like Fleabag and Baby Reindeer, steps onto the stage to fantastic effect in this one-woman show about a struggling feminist who reinvents herself as a podcast provocatrice and “slutfluencer.”

    Through August 31.

In this 50-minute show, writer-performer Sarah Dealy upends the audience’s expectations of what it means to get “vulnerable” onstage, reimagining the oft-dreaded trope of audience participation in a way that’s hilarious as well as genuinely novel.

    Through August 29.

Sydnee Washington’s comedy chops are well-established, but her Fringe debut shows off a whole new side of the self-described “Anemic Funny Lesbian.” She talks the audience through her journey from isolated, religious child to hard-partying “bottle girl” with the help of hilariously clip-art-heavy visual aids.

    Through August 16.

Written by Liliana Padilla, directed by Jack Ferver, and hauntingly embodied onstage by Joslyn DeFreece, this show—which follows a mother searching desperately for her missing son, accompanied by a twitch nobody else can see—will stay with you long after you’ve left the theater.

    Through August 30.
