There was everything to love about Collina Strada’s Storm King show and picnic, from the perfect weather to the romantic clothes that referenced rococo, riot grrrl, and Renaissance fairs. And did I mention there was princess cake? It was a bit emotional for me that Threeasfour and Imitation of Christ were on the schedule again because they were part of a pre-9/11 world. The 25th anniversary of the attacks really hit hard, but the passion and perseverance of these designer continues to be a source of hope.—Laird Borrelli-Persson
Coach, spring 2027 ready-to-wear
Acielle/Style Du Monde
I loved Coach—the slouchy pants, the slim tops, the way the suit jackets were tied around the waists, the long, flowy coats. Even though it was a spring collection, I could see myself wearing it this fall. It even had a twinge of melancholy, despite the celebrations for the brand’s 85th anniversary, but I found that very poignant. Also, when the big reveal came at the end of the show, with curtains opening on the band, plus the explosion of confetti, everyone in the room looked so surprised—it was quite lovely. Small shout-out to the adorable bunny shoes at Sandy Liang and congrats to Marcus Allen, who showed his first collection.—Max Berlinger
