Last night, Vogue World 2026: Milano took place inside the historic Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, making for a joyous celebration of craft and style. A star-studded crowd witnessed the fifth installment of the global event, with the runways just as replete with names from across the worlds of art, music, film, fashion, and sport.
It made sense that sport should have its moment on the Vogue World runway. Fashion and athletics have long shared a vocabulary of performance and precision—and nowhere more visibly than in Italy, where houses from Prada to Armani have repeatedly blurred the line between sporting uniform and high style.
Arianna Fontana—the Olympic short track speed skater, first woman to win Olympic medals in six straight Winter Olympics, and Italy’s most decorated athlete—shimmered in a bright orange, thick fringed dress with an olive sports jacket atop, the look completed with her own medals.
