This is a big box tightly stuffed with a huge selection of eyeshadow, lipstick, blush, powder, foundation, a bunch of eyeliners, tools and much more!I swatched almost everything and tested most of the makeup on my face.Foundation: you get two shades of foundation, both of them light, one is a very light yellow toned for warm porcelain skin tones, the other is light very pink toned, it fits me perfectly. Unfortunately the bottle of the color that is perfect for me was loosely set in the box and leaked a big portion out. Thankfully the liquid didn’t escape the carton box and didn’t affect the two of the makeup. The foundation is lotion consistency with opaque color. It’s a full coverage product, better applied with a sponge, which you get two of them included.Powder: you get a pressed compact powder which can be used as a setting powder over the foundation or just as a blotting powder to decrease greasy shine. It’s sheer but buildable, I liked it.Eyeshadow palettes: there are several eyeshadow palettes in this kit and they’re from different brands, however, the formula is kinda similar between them. The mattes are extremely sheer, almost non existent and the shimmers are thick and waxy, extremely dense with low shimmer payoff. These aren’t the best quality palettes, but they’re ok for a kid to play with. I did like the KApeine palette with the blush, this one was slightly better in quality.Lipsticks: you get several varieties, from matte lipstick bullets to very opaque glosses to a lip balm even. Overall they’re not bad, great color depositing, may be drying.Eyeliners- very water proof. Once set thru will stay put no matter what. Very black, both of them, linoleum like finish.Cream concealer palette – lightly pigmented, can’t really call it a true concealer, more like a light coverage cream foundation. Large selection of colors leaning mostly porcelain to light.Overall this is children’s makeup, but the selection is huge and you get everything possibly needed to play and practice with. The selection is not suitable for medium and dark skin tones.

What you’d expect for the price per item
For the price, especially considering it works out to less than a dollar per item, I would not expect great quality makeup. The way I look at it, if I find even 3 or 4 items that work for me, it might be worth it. Personally, I liked the lipsticks although the three colors aren’t all that different, the eyebrow powder, and I could always use new brushes and applicators. There are way too many eyeshadows, 4 kits with all very similar palettes. I was curious about the matte lip gloss which seems like an oxymoron to me; it is indeed matte and goes on with a typical lip gloss wand, but it’s not glossy. The green colored lip balm provides a slight pink tint but its taste was off-putting. I was surprised to find “tattoo practice skin” included!At first glance, I would say that a large kit like this would be a great gift for makeup newbies, who can experiment and see what types of products and shades they like without breaking the bank. However, while the items in this kit are identified as to what they are in the listing images above, in reality there are some items that are marked only with the brand name, usually lameila, and often, the only other writing is in Chinese. This lack of labelling can be very frustrating and defeat some of the joy that you expect from such a large assortment of items to play with.If you do decide to gift it, I would recommend leaving it intact, but if you remove things to check them out, then take photos so you know how to repack it so it fits back in the box!

Great starter kit for a beginner
This is a really nice kit for someone just getting started learning to do makeup. It comes with all the basics… brushes, sponges, foundation, and tons of palettes. The quality is reasonably good (better than I was expecting for the price, actually)… a step up from what you’d find at your local pharmacy, for sure… though a couple items in my box did have some manufacturing issues. One of the lipsticks was not seated properly and was just sort of floating around under its lid, and the lid on one of the bottles of the foundation was loose, so there was some minor leakage (thankfully contained within its box). The kit offers a whole lot of versatility at a good price in a convenient bundle. It would be great for someone looking to start learning or who’s wanting to try some new shades without investing in higher tier cosmetics for a color they may or may not end up liking. It might be nice if the kit had an option for darker skin tones… I’m on the pale side, so this actually worked out well for me, but I could see some of the products not being the right tone for some of my friends/acquaintances. Overall, though, this makeup kit is really well curated, affordable, and also very giftable.
