I’ve been trying to tackle some stubborn hyperpigmentation, and this Jtopyrt Dark Spot Corrector Serum has become a key part of my routine. I appreciate that it combines Retinol and Vitamin C, two powerhouses for skin brightening. I’ve been using it consistently for a few weeks, and I’m definitely starting to see a fading of my dark spots and a more even skin tone overall. It absorbs well without feeling greasy or irritating. Patience is key with these products, but this one seems to be delivering noticeable results.

Feels a Little Watery, But Really Appreciate the Packaging
I order a LOT of products that contain Niacinamide and other anti-aging focused ingredients, but many don’t list the percentages used in their formulas. Serums tend to be all over the place, with Niacinamide being anywhere from 2% to 20%. If you have sensitive skin, you want to know there won’t be too much to cause a reaction. You’d think with Niacinamide, more would be better, but I’ve found 20% to be too harsh, while 2% doesn’t do much. This serum, which contains 5% Niacinamide, plus 1.5% Vitamin C, falls into my sweet spot and I really appreciate that it is clearly labeled.I also like the pump bottle. This is a thin, slightly watery serum, so it’s nice to have a dispensing method where I don’t have to tip the bottle and risk pouring out too much. I already have a number of products for my face, but nothing I can dedicate to the dark spots on my hands. One quick pump is plenty to cover the back of one hand and part of the forearm. This is a lightweight serum that absorbs quickly, is totally fragrance free, and very gentle.Because I wash my hands numerous times a day, this serum isn’t practical for me for daytime use, so I’ve been applying it at night before bed. While it doesn’t feel sticky, you can just barely tell (from feel) that there is something on your skin. If using your hands versus a cotton pad to apply it, you may end up wanting to rinse it off your palms (I did). That doesn’t deter form the usability, it’s just a personal preference for me.So far, I’m not seeing any lightening of dark spots, but the package cautions that it can take 4-6 weeks for results, which is what I would expect for a dark spot corrector.

Feels nice on the skin and makes it look smoother already
I wasn’t sure what to expect since I hadn’t heard of this brand before, but this serum has been a pleasant surprise. It goes on really smoothly, sinks in fast, and doesn’t leave any sticky or greasy feel behind. I like that it has retinol and vitamin C together—it makes my skin feel a bit firmer and smoother after using it for a while. The scent is super mild, and the packaging actually looks nice and well done, which is a plus. I’m hoping to see more improvement with my dark spots as I keep using it, but so far, I’m really liking how it makes my skin feel.

Lightweight serum with high concentrations of actives like vitamin C, retinol, & niacinamide
I love this lightweight serum because it has so many hero ingredients high up in the ingredient list. Seriously, look at the ingredient list and you’ll see that instead of the vitamin C, retinol, niacinamide, tranexamic acid, camellia sinensis leaf extract, panthenol, vitamin E, centella asiatica leaf extract, and sodium hyaluronate are not buried far down the list but are literally the first set of ingredients after water. This serum has a pretty watery consistency but it’s not so watery that it’s difficult to apply. I have rosacea and very sensitive skin, so I was very pleased to see that this formula is fragrance-free and paraben-free. After using this serum, my skin is hydrated and plump. I also did not have any negative reactions, despite there being numerous active ingredients (but I should note that my skin is used to retinols and vitamin C at this point). I’ve used this for a few weeks and I think my skintone looks more even, but the effect on me isn’t as dramatic as it would be on someone who is using these actives for the first time. This product is a great value, given how many excellent ingredients it contains at relatively high concentrations.
