A decent starter kit with some gems
This review is for the CK03 kit.Overall, this is a great starter makeup kit, especially for the price. I’ve paid the same amount for a single lipstick before, so the amount of product you get here is pretty impressive. I’d especially recommend it for a younger teen who’s just getting into makeup and wants to experiment to see what works for them. That said, if you’re used to mid-range or higher-end products, you’ll probably find this kit a bit underwhelming in terms of quality.As expected for something in this price range, some of the products feel a little cheap. Personally, I’d prefer fewer items overall in exchange for better quality ones. For example, there are four eyeshadow palettes (mostly in similar color schemes), but no lipstick, lip gloss, or makeup remover—which seems like a big miss for an all-in-one set like this. The eyeshadow cases themselves also felt pretty flimsy and hard to open; they reminded me a bit of the toy makeup sets I used to play with as a kid. The pink eyeshadow palette, however, was a pleasant surprise. It felt higher quality and stood out among the others. Honestly, I wish they’d keep that one and swap the extras for something more useful, like a makeup remover balm.One thing I absolutely loved (and that every makeup kit like this should include) was the product guide. It explains what each product is and how to use it, with photos of everything. I’ve gotten similar kits before that just came with a bunch of unlabeled products, and it was impossible to tell what anything was. That thoughtful touch is the main reason I’m giving this four stars instead of three.As for the makeup itself, the quality and wear time really varied by product, but nothing performed worse than I expected. It’s not professional-level makeup, but it’s perfectly fine for beginners learning and experimenting. Standouts for me were:The 18-color pink eyeshadow paletteThe 9-color eyeshadow palette (fun texture and I love the shimmer)The 3-color contour setThe color-changing lip balm (it really works and leaves a light stain)The primer (made my skin feel soft)The makeup spongesAnd especially the tweezers (they’re fantastic!)So while it’s not the most cohesive or high-end kit, it’s still a fun, affordable way to play around with makeup and get a feel for different products. There are definitely some gems in the mix.

I got this makeup kit for my daughter who is super into putting on makeup and working on different techniques. This set has pretty much everything she needed in it. Now of course the colors for some of the items are not for her skin tone but its ok, it is still serving its purpose. She is not old enough to even go out the house with is on and her skills even help me out.

this touts itself as an all in one, so keep that in mind and also the price point of $35which is a good price for ALL this stuff. I mean let’s be real, foundation and just a few pieces from this kit alone would cost that much togetherthe contour palette was ok – i used one of the lighter shades and also the darkest and it’s barely noticeable with 1 swipe, this would require some buildingthe eye shadow palette is all neutral colors so builds a good smokey eye or whatever but this is targeted for teens so kinda bummed there weren’t any fun or bright colors at all. the colors were creamy in texture and actually had a lot of pigment with 1 swipe – makes up for a mediocre contour palletethe brush set was pretty standard, the bristles didn’t feel luxe BUT again, this entire kit was $35, so they were way better than expectedthe foundation comes in 3 relative fair to medium shades – i was surprised how much came out with 1 pump, and this was VERY full coverage – it went on smoothly without much effortthe concealers in a tube was an absolute miss – they were very runny and most squeezed out of the tube in transit – and one of the colors also looked like it had separated – HUGE MISSthe little concealers in a tub – looked like la mer packaging – like what they use for samples so i was like, oh, ok….those went on smooth as well as good coverage and was very lightthe lips – yes please! look at that vibrant coat of color!!eye liner was also a winsame with the brow pencilthe contour pen was kinda weak – highlighter didn’t really highlight and the bronzer was too pinkthe lip stains were ok tooas was the brow toolsthe powder to fill in your hairline was a little interesting – they’re little sponges that you dab onto your hair – both colors looked kinda similar to me so not very brown, both were kinda charcoalthe lash kit was also really cutethere was this little pink lash thing to apply mascara – my daughter snagged that before i could try it – she was playing with it and tried on the mascara with and really liked that it helped her put mascara on without making a giant mess on her eyesalthough a few items in this kit was a total miss, the ones that were awesome were still a good enough set to justify $35, i wouldn’t pay more for itthis is something fun for someone that’s new and wants to play with makeup.
