Very pleased with product
Took advise of other purchasers and opened carefully over sink. Had no issues with spillage. Mixes easily, used on myself and my mom. We both felt the tightening as it dried. Came off easily. No unpleasant scents. I will definitely continue to use

Needs water to apply
So this product has no instructions on how to use; but is relatively easy if you’ve used a clay mask before. You need to apply it with a brush; preferably a soft wide tip one, dip it in water and after you’ve poured some of the clay powder into a small dish, you dip the wet brush into the clay making sure the clay is wet and then apply to your skin. It does dry relatively quickly and will become cakey once dried and can flake off.There’s no scent, and it seems to be effective at removing surface oils so for that I have it four stars. I took away one due to there being no instructions for applying and the container was open which caused most of the contents to spill out upon removing the lid.There is a good amount to use for a while which does make this a good value.

Skin feels really smooth!
I have tried several Natú Botanicals products now, and have found them to be of consistently high quality, made with clean, premium ingredients. This clay mask is no exception.The mask comes in powder form. You mix some of the powder with water until it becomes like a loose, wet paste, then you spread it evenly over clean skin. You wait for the mask to dry (which will be quick or slow depending on the thickness with which you apply the mask. Mine was fairly thin, so in 20 minutes it was completely dry. After rinsing off, I was really impressed with the appearance and feel of my skin. My skin felt smooth, soft and really clean. I felt like the dullness was gone and replaced by more glowy, bright skin. This mask is definitely effective and will absolutely stay in my skin care rotation. O think it’s a good price for a product of this quality and effectiveness, so I would absolutely recommend it!

doesn’t thicken up, difficult to apply
The directions say to mix a 1:1 ratio of powder to water, but following that left me with something closer to mud-flavored water than a face mask. It was so thin it wouldn’t stay on my fingers, let alone my face. I kept adding more powder trying to get it to actually behave like a paste – and I mean a LOT more powder. By the end I was probably at a 10:1 powder-to-water ratio and it was still thinner than I’d want.When trying this, my suggestion would be to start with a very small amount of water and add powder gradually until you reach a workable consistency. Basically the opposite approach of what the instructions tell you. Don’t trust the 1:1 ratio as a starting point unless you are ok with using up a lot more of the powder.One other thing worth mentioning: it has a slightly acidic, vinegary smell. It wasn’t an issue for me personally, but if you’re sensitive to scents it might be off-putting, especially since you’re applying it directly to your face.Overall the formula just doesn’t seem to be dialed in, and instructions that are this far off make it hard to feel confident you’re even using the product correctly.

nice mask
I’ve been using this bentonite clay mask for a couple weeks now and I’m pretty happy with it overall. It’s a pure powder, no weird additives or chemicals, which I really appreciate since I’m trying to stick to more natural skincare stuff. You just mix it with water to make the paste – it’s super easy to do, though you gotta add the water slowly or it can get lumpy if you’re not careful.The mask applies nicely with a little spatula or even your fingers, and as it drys it tightens up just enough to feel like it’s working without being uncomfortable. I usually leave it on for 10-15 minutes, and afterward my skin feels cleaner, smoother, and my pores look smaller, especially around my nose where I get clogged a lot. No irritation for me, even though my skin can be a bit sensitive sometimes.The only downside is the packaging – that cardboard top on the container is a pain. When I first opened it, powder went everywhere, like a little explosion of clay dust all over my counter. It’s messy to scoop out too, and sealing it back up isn’t the greatest, so I ended up transferring it to an old jar to avoid the hassle. If they fixed that, it’d be perfect.Anyway, I definately recommend this if you’re looking for an effective, affordable clay mask that actually does what it says. Great addition to my routine!

Good clay, but the packaging needs improvement
The clay itself is quite good: the ingredients are fully natural, the powder is very fine, and it mixes with water easily. I followed the instructions — one teaspoon of powder to one teaspoon of water — and the mixture turned out a bit runny, so if you prefer a thicker texture, it’s better to add a little more clay. It dries quickly on the face, feels slightly tightening, and after rinsing the skin feels smooth and clean. The scent is natural.However, the packaging is unfortunately not very practical. When I opened the container, the entire top was covered in powder, and some of it spilled out. Because the clay is so fine, it tends to dust and shift around inside. The three-hole dispenser is also inconvenient — when you try to pour the powder into a teaspoon, some of it inevitably spills, even if you open only one hole. For a product like this, a regular jar with a wide opening would work much better, so you could simply scoop it with a spoon, or at least a tighter inner seal. I ended up transferring the clay into a glass jar, and it’s much easier to use that way.The mask works nicely, but the packaging could definitely use some improvement.
