Clean invisible application, but no improvement yet
First, I’ll say I’ve been using the Minoxidil topical solution from Costco and Sam’s club as well as a name brand over the past 7-10 years or so. I’m not totally convinced it’s helping as I am not gaining hair, per say, but it’s possible it has slowed the recession. I was curious if/how this would work, and I must say I have only been using it for just over a month, so I can’t speak to how this works for extended periods over that timeframe.As far as the application of the product, I am a fan. This goes on much easier than the other topical products. This Neutrogena product has a gel/serum consistency, whereas the other products I have used are a thin oily liquid, so while they tend to drip out of the dropper, because of the water like thinness, this product does not. No mess which is great.Since it has a gel-like consistency, I was curious how this would dry on my thinner hair areas, and that is where I am most impressed. As I mentioned, the other products I’ve used are oily, so it is tough to keep from your head looking oily – possible, but not easy. This product, on the other hand, dried with almost a matte, non-noticeable finish. It seemed to somewhat vanish into the scalp, so I am greatly impressed with this factor.I have two concerns with this product. First, my main concern is effectiveness. Since I started using, and stopped my other product, I feel like my hair is heading in the wrong direction. While this dries in well and looks a little thicker with it in, I don’t feel like it is helping with hair growth or retention, and that is the whole purpose for using. With no noticeable effects, it is tough for me to continue this, even though I like the application 100% better than alternatives. The second concern is price. It’s not too much for me to pay, assuming it works and works well, but the other products I’ve mentioned cost less than one bottle for 6 bottles @ 2oz each. That said, a 1.7 oz bottle of this probably goes a little further than 2 oz bottle of the other stuff.I’ll probably continue using for another month or two and see and if it works, I’d be willing to pay a little more for a less oily look. If it does work, I’ll probably add a star and if things get worse, I may drop another. Hopefully, things improve on effectiveness.

this neutrogena hair restore works well…my wife had very long hair for years and was getting a receding hairline from constantly keeping it pulled back into a ponytail…since she got her hair cut she has tried a few hair growth products with little success but with this hair growth serum she is seeing results and is very happy with the product

Pleasant scent! My daughter has had breakage and so she has been using this serum overnight (with a hair cap). It has definitely helped repair some breakage and helped new hair growth. She uses a TON of product on her super curly hair and this serum, soft, not greasy, seems to keep her scalp hydrated against the products that have always dried her hair/scalp out! Definitely highly recommend!

Actually seems to be working
I can honestly say that this is the first “hair growth” serum I’ve used that actually seems to be helping grow my hair. Not only have I noticed some growth in length since using this over the past month, but so has my husband. I like that the serum is not a super oily or greasy consistency. I can use it at night and my hair isn’t a greaseball in the morning. No overpowering scent to it, and it hasn’t caused any irritation. I will definitely reorder!
