Nice sponges that hold up well to washing
I apply my foundation with a damp sponge, so I bought several of these to have plenty to rotate as they got dirty. They expand a little more than I expected once they’re wet , but they still work just fine. The old sponges I was replacing were about the same size as these are when they’re dry, so I just had to get used to using a bigger sponge. You can cut them in half if you feel like they’re too big for you (I tried that with one of them and it worked fine, but I decided I preferred using them whole).I wash them in a mesh lingerie bag in the washing machine and then let them air dry (I do NOT put them in the dryer). I’ve done this many times now, and they have held up just fine. The sponges do stain from my foundation, but they feel clean when they come out of the washer. The sponge material has not broken down at all (no little bits falling off), which is more than I can say for some other sponges I have tried!

I did not like them
I did not like the sponges because they don’t really work well with smoothing out my foundation. They may work for someone else which is why I still gave them five stars. They are just not for me.

After I received these sponges I realized they weren’t like some I had ordered in the past. Guess they aren’t being made any longer. I like a flat sponge to apply my foundation not one of those egg shaped things. These are nice and firm and seem to be doing well on application. They apply foundation well and I can get even coverage. This is the only way I apply my makeup, as I have done for a long time.

Second time I buy these
These work great! Both times I’ve purchased these I never noticed any chemical smells. They last a long time and wash well. The last time I bought these was in 2021 and the only reason I had to get new ones is cause my pup got ahold of the last ones.
