Little white balls
As other reviews have stated, after using this product, I am left with white balls on my face. They look like dry skin. So I suppose this is actually dead skin being exfoliated, which is great! But I own another product that does something similar, and once I wash it off, the balls are gone. With this one, they were still showing up on my face an hour later. I prefer to start without makeup or anything else on my face before using a product like this – otherwise I feel that the cleansing/exfoliating can’t reach your actual skin – so I find it strange that the instructions suggest using this before cleansing. The price point seems appropriate – it will last a long time.

Interesting product
I wasn’t quite sure what to expect from this, but here’s what I found. If you follow the instructions, you simply apply a small amount to unwashed skin and rub for about 10 seconds.I tried this first on the back of my hands. As I rubbed, little white balls of whatever started to form. At first, I thought it might be an exfoliating bead included in the product, but when I inspected the gel, I found it to be free from any type of bead or roughage.Okay, so maybe it’s a bead that forms within the gel as you rub. So, the scientist/skeptic in me tried rubbing it on other, inorganic, surfaces to see what happened. Nothing. Just gel moving around. So, whatever those little beads were, they were definitely coming from my skin.It would seem that this is likely dead skin cells being exfoliated. Now, even though the instructions said to apply it to your skin before cleaning, I did conduct my experiments about half an hour after showering. BUT, that ought to have made the results less impressive, since a lot of surface contaminants and/or dead cells would have been removed in the shower, especially since I always use a scrubbie sponge. So, it would appear to me that this thing does what it claims to do–removes dead skin cells. After the inorganic surface experiment, I applied some of this to my forearm where I have a couple of non-cancerous skin spots that are just dry, raised areas, not even noticeable to others. It seemed to brighten these small spots as well. The areas where I tested this are smoother and at least appear to be less dry.I’m going to keep using this and I think there’s a good possibility that I will buy more when this tube runs out. This looks like a good product for regular, continued use.

Not what its advertised as..
It appears to be removing dead skin but it looks like it might just be the ingredients reacting with each other because my skin does not feel or look different. I’ve almost used up the whole bottle now and the product just feels like a cheaper substitute for rubbing beads on my face.. a physical exfoliant. No thank you. Not worth the money.

Satisfying Exfoliation
I’ve only recently discovered exfoliation gels like this where instead of a gritty substance that aids in the exfoliation, this product does it thru reaction to your skin. It is so incredibly gentle since you are not scrubbing hard to remove the layer of dead skin. Instead you just lightly rub this gel on. I have a silicone face scrubber that I use to get extra scrubbing, but honestly just using your fingers works very effectively. I had no irritation at all from this gel. It mostly smells like aloe gel to me.I found I needed about a quarter-sized dollop to cover my face, so the product should last quite a while. I’ve only been using it at most once a week, but I might increase that during the summer when my skin tends to get dirtier from outdoor activities and always feels like it needs more exfoliation. I could see using this on my neck, shoulders and chest as well, especially if I had any sun damage. At the regular price of $18.99 it might be a bit steep, but at the time of writing this review, it was on sale for more than 50% off, which I think makes it reasonably priced.

Gentle
This exfoliating gel seems to be gentle on my sensitive skin. It is quite thick but spread easily when scrubbed into my skin. It has a nice, light aloe scent. After washing it off, it left my skin feeling smoother and more hydrated. However, I noticed that a little while after washing it off, when rubbing my skin, little balls of something (maybe skin? product?) would form and it seems that I either didn’t fully wash off the product or my skin was having a delayed reaction to the exfoliating process.

Impressive exfoliation
This stuff really sloughs off dead skin. Like instantly! It comes off after just a few circular strokes, then it just keeps on coming off. I’ve found it makes the most sense for me to do one round, wipe off the pills that form with a washcloth, then do a couple more rounds until no more skin is coming off. My face feels really soft after that! This doesn’t seem to extract gunk out of my pores, which I was hoping it also would, but it certainly is an effective exfoliant!

Using this once was too many times!
I followed the instructions (which are hard to see) and I did not like this at all. It was impossible to get off my face with just water. I used a soft towelette to try to get it off and still couldn’t get it off. Ended up using another scrub and rubbing abrasive to finally get it off my face. With all that going on my face was raw and red. I would never use again!
