This Acne Face Serum contains strong exfoliation ingredients of Latic Acid and AHA/BHA. Additionally, the serum contains licorice, lemongrass, tea and ginseng. I am always looking to try out different types/blends of exfoliators on my face as I have mature skin and exfoliation is important in my quest for mitigating wrinkles and fine lines, as well rejuvenating my complexion. It would be wonderful if my pores were cleaned and made smaller as well. (I don’t have acne.) It also contains Vitamin B6 that can calm inflammation and support skin repair.This is a clear serum with a very light scent that seems to dissipate on the skin. It is thick enough that when dispensed on the skin; it doesn’t run too quickly and I am able to spread it on my skin easily. I do not experience any skin irritation but I have been using acids on my face for quite a long time. I would highly recommend a patch test before use. I plan to continue to use this serum for the long term to determine long term results. Very potent!
This was purchased for somebody with very oily skin, a teenager, who is highly active. His skin isn’t very sensitive, and so he was excited to try this. It dried out areas that were problematic for him, and allowed his skin to heal. It is very strong- so I advised him to use it sparingly because the act of ingredients are pretty potent. I would not recommend this prolonged daily use. Because of the way it dries the skin, it can have adverse effects. However, for problem areas, this is a great product. Just be careful not to combine it with other products containing acids.
