This Batana hair mask is awesome. I love the scent, it’s not over powering at all but smells great. The texture is thick and smooth and applies evenly to my hair. It rinses out clean and doesn’t weigh my hair down at all. It leaves my hair super soft, smooth and completely frizz free – even when I let it air dry.I was surprised at how full the tub was when I opened it. The photo of the inside I posted shows after one use, it was completely full to the top when I opened it. The tub was wrapped in plastic and they had a security seal on the inside, both not only protects against spills during transit and helps keep the product fresh. Another great aspect is they post the manufacturing date along with the expiration date on the bottom. It shows how fresh the product is, mine was made in February 2025 and I received it in March 2025. It’s great knowing it’s super fresh and new. I love that it’s Made in the US with great ingredients. There is a mistake on the front of the label – it says “Ant-Thinning” instead of “Anti-Thinning”. Hopefully the company does fix that since it could be an issue for some. All in all I am a huge fan of this hair mask and I’m planning on trying out more of their products. If you are looking for a deep conditioning mask I highly recommend you give this Sunny Isle mask a try.

Great product but not color safe.
Initially, I loved this Sunny Isle Batana Anti-Thinning Intensive Repair Masque. It’s double sealed upon arrival and you get a big container. I have long hair and the amount I used only made a small dent, this will last awhile. It smells so good. You can easily apply it to your hair. When the process is done, and before rinsing, the masque gets hardened and crunchy in your hair. It rinses out nicely and makes your hair incredibly soft. I was so happy with this product up until this point. Then I looked in the mirror and realizes it stripped the color out of my hair. I won’t use it again due to this. It’s a 5 star product if you don’t need to worry because you don’t dye your hair.

Smooths Frizz
I have bright purple hair that requires me to bleach my roots very month. On top of that I was on a medication that made my hair shed a lot. My hair is finally starting to recover from the meds but has been very lackluster, dry frizzy and dull. So, the first thing I look for I hair care is if it’s sulfate free and color safe. This stuff passed that test!After trying this hair mask, I think it’s my new favorite mask! It’s really thick and creamy it distributes through your hair very well. It has the BEST tropical scent to it. I honestly felt like I was on the beach. I just slap a good amount of this in my hair and put on a plastic cap and let it sit. It’s easy to rinse out and doesn’t leave your hair looking oily or greasy. My hair felt so soft to the tough and it looked a LOT less fizzy. I could tell my hair had more shine and all around looked more hydrated.

Great moisturizing hair masque
Sunny Isle Batana Anti-Thinning Intensive Repair Masque is awesome for conditioning and moisturizing your hair. It’s a thick conditioner that goes on smooth and immediately feels like it is strengthening the hair shaft from the outside in. I really like that it is sulfate and paraben free, and infused with biotin and castor oil, which are helpful to prevent hair loss and promotes regrowth. I am not certain why this product has “batana” in the description though; real batana oil has a distinct coffee-like smell, which this product has none of. It smells light and floral instead, which is pleasant. While it claims to have batana oil in it, it does not have that telltale scent. As a hair masque or conditioner, this is a great product, leaving my hair shiny, silky, manageable and feeling hydrated and smooth. As a hair growth product, I am not sold. If you’re looking for a conditioning hair masque though, this one should be one you consider.

Hydrating and repairing
I have low porosity hair that is thin and color treated. It needs hydration help all the time but a lot of hydrating masks are heavy and weigh down my hair making it look even thinner than it is. This mask does not do that. It recommends you putting it on then wrapping it in plastic for a set amount of time before rinsing however I just put it on and let it sit for 5 minutes without wrapping and rinsed and it still worked great. It left my hair feeling very healthy and soft, knocked down frizz and did not weigh down my hair at all – everything I could have wanted from it. I did see another reviewer said this was not color safe but I did not experience issues with my color so this may depend on which color you have (I dye my hair black). All in all I would absolutely get this again and would recommend.

hair feels luxurious after using
I got this product because I have long frizzy hair (think 80’s hair band hair) and the conditioners I’ve tried haven’t worked. I wanted something that would detangle my hair and revive it. I’m 54, and I have some thinning hair in the front. I haven’t noticed any new hair growth, but I’ve only used it twice in the past two weeks, so I’m not sure if I continue to use this, if it would promote new hair growth. I love using this as an overnight hair masque. It feels soft and silky when I smooth it on my hair. My hair feels soft and luxurious after drying, and I’m getting compliments on my hair for once. My waves and curls are bouncier and my hair shines. It’s easier to style my hair and do something with it besides putting it in a bun.

My hair is 4C and this is the best conditioner I have ever used. I have seen a huge difference in just two uses, it moisturises well, and gives a beautiful slip and softens the hair.
