The LiLo-naissance has ignited a wave of Noughties-era style nostalgia—and Lindsay Lohan has only been adding fuel to the sartorial fire with a parade of ‘fits that look straight out of her Y2K days. On Monday, July 28, the Freakier Friday star stepped out to promote her latest film in not one, but three different looks that evoke some of her most iconic 2000s looks—and her final outfit is an ode to her former punk rock style.
After channeling her Parent Trap characters Annie James and Hallie Parker with two very different looks seemingly inspired by the twin sisters’ respective aesthetic, Lohan appeared to take inspiration from her own fashion archives while out in New York City. Once known for her low-rise denim, statement belts, and trucker hats, the beaming Mean Girls alum stepped out in Madison Square Park wearing a perfectly airy white band t-shirt that she wore tucked into a Noughties staple: A tiny black leather wrap miniskirt fitted with a very Y2k-coded low-slung belt featuring an oversized gold buckle.

Lohan accessorized her rock star look with caramel brown and cream woven gladiator-style stilettos (another 2000s favorite), oversized black aviator sunglasses, and a structured black purse fitted with a colorful charm. Silver hoop earrings and a pink pendant necklace added some subtle shine next to her blonde hair, which Lohan styled in loose, middle-parted mermaid waves. A glossy peach lip and flawless porcelain skin finished off her look.

It was a beauty and style switch-up from her looks earlier that day, which included a Clueless-inspired yellow and black printed plaid skirt suit set paired with a preppy bright yellow headband, as well as a silk cap-sleeved dress with a wrap mockneck that evoked the dress that her character Hallie wore at one point in the 1998 film. Wearing her blonde hair in glamorous, side-parted curls, Lohan paired the colorful minidress with whimsical cat-eye sunglasses, nude heeled sandals, and a light pink flush on her lips, cheeks, and eyelids.
