Every time I scroll through my TikTok FYP, I come across the most gorgeous Zara try-on hauls. I often catch myself thinking: how do they find all the good stuff while I always walk out empty-handed? I’ve been a loyal Zara online shopper for years (endless inventory = my happy place), but in-store? I usually get overwhelmed, skim through a few racks, and give up to get Cinnabon.
But that was the old me, and my thought process changed after a Sex and the City watch-party marathon with my best friend last month. I now get the hype—each character’s style was iconic (even with the occasional miss), and it left me inspired. So, I decided to go shopping at Zara and give it another shot IRL. And just like that (couldn’t help it), I actually walked out with some adorable fashion staples for my fall and winter wardrobe. I got a mix of versatile pieces, including a sexy satin midi dress, a chic leather skirt, and a cozy cardigan, which give all the Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte, and Miranda energy I could ask for, starting at $60.
My Favorite Pieces From Zara

Prepare for all the compliments to come when you step out in this dress. I love the floral print for fall (who says flowers are just for spring?!) The draped neckline and thin straps give it a very feminine and sexy vibe. It also features an open back with a beaded strap that can be adjusted for a perfect fit. It’s surprisingly lightweight, and I love how it clings to my curves.

The polka dot trend we saw pop off early this summer is going nowhere, and I’m so happy about that. The playful pattern makes everything look so much cuter. This dress features a halter neck that can tie into a bow at the back. I can’t wait to pair it with some white kitten heels and my denim jacket for a cute and casual office look.

There was no way I was leaving the store without this gorgeous faux-leather midi skirt. It features an A-line silhouette with a mid-rise waist that sits comfortably on the body and flows out into a sleek hem. It feels soft, has a nice weight to it, and comes with a hidden in-seam zipper in the back. It’s also a very versatile wardrobe piece; you can pair this with a blouse, T-shirt, sweater, and more!

This dark burgundy knit cardigan gives fuzzy and cozy a whole new meaning. I love the drama that the playful fringe detailing adds to the sleeves, and the subtle distressed texture has a nice edgy touch. I paired it with the leather skirt in the photo, but I can also see this layered over a sleek slip dress for that Carrie-on-the-go moment, or paired with tailored dress pants and booties for a more polished Miranda-esque look.

Zara took a classic halter and gave it a cool utilitarian upgrade. The deep V-neckline, flap pockets, and fabric belt strike a perfect balance between sexy and structured. It looks good when styled with the matching cargo pants, but I bet it would also work well with a pair of jeans for a laid-back vibe. Once the weather cools down, I’ll be layering it over a simple long-sleeve tee and jacket for an easy, casual look.
