The British are coming (back)!
People reports that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are moving back to the U.K. from Montecito, California. Their children, seven-year-old Prince Archie and five-year-old Princess Lilibet, are said to be starting school in England in September, though it hasn’t been revealed where exactly the family will live.
The relocation news comes on the heels of the family’s visit to the U.K. in July, which was their first time there together since 2022. On the visit, they went to Althorp estate, the ancestral home of the Spencer family, where Princess Diana grew up. While in the U.K., the Sussexes stayed at the Northamptonshire estate—one of England’s most well-known stately homes—as a guest of Harry’s uncle, Charles Spencer. The family’s trip also included a reunion with King Charles and Queen Camilla, who had not seen their grandchildren since 2022.
The Sussex family’s time in California hasn’t come to an end, though. According to People, the couple plans to keep their Montecito home (and their vacation home in Portugal). There are no plans for the couple to resume their royal duties, and they will reportedly remain private citizens.
