Was there something you were particularly looking forward to addressing?
The live [stream] that I mentioned Melanie. It was never about talking about her badly because I left so good with her. We had such a great connection throughout the whole entire show. We did have our ups and downs, but we were always able to get through it. Those girls, especially Melanie, always felt like a sister to me. I just wanted to clear the air on that—that I would never do that. That’s not even my character. I just wanted people to know that.
What can you tease about your conversation with Melanie?
We both have said to each other that we do love each other and care for each other. It’s kind of funny because we would always talk about this character on Euphoria and compare each other to that character. Maddie, and that other blonde girl played by Sydney Sweeney. We were like, “We should be with them for Halloween.”
There’s very much love between me and her. I feel like it’s more of a sisterly love, where we don’t always see eye to eye, but we’re always going to support each other. It was definitely a hard conversation, but I think it was a conversation that needed to be had. I’m hoping to speak to her again soon.
You haven’t spoken to her since the reunion?
No, she apparently asked for my number for when she saw Dylan in the elevator, but we have not spoken yet.
This has been asked and answered at length, but how do you feel about the Sincere Rhea comparisons now that you’ve had more time to reflect?
The longer I have reflected on it, the more I’m standing 10 toes down on that I am nothing like him. I love him. I think he’s a great person. Do I think he went about the relationship with Melanie the right way? No. I think that it’s weird for them to be comparing my relationships and how I went about the villa when their relationship was a day-one relationship, and he would lie about connections. I was always very honest, other than the one kiss I shared with Corbin, and there was a very much a reason for that, and it’s because the whole house was blowing up about the fact that me and Corbin were still exploring each other.
Also, I felt very watched by Caleb. One time, me and Corbin were out on the dock, and I literally kept looking up in the kitchen, and Caleb was staring me down the whole time. I just felt like I was being babysat, when I told him I already have a connection with this guy, and I really like him. None of that was ever hidden. It was more of the fact that Caleb was scared to come out of his shell and be himself, and I just wanted to explore.
I was also put with him by the viewers, so people saying I went from guy to guy…I just don’t believe that’s true. Zach chose someone else. Sean left. I picked Corbin. I got put with Caleb by the US, and I still picked Corbin, and then I saw how I was disrespected by Corbin. That’s why I moved on and started exploring other options. If I wasn’t disrespected like that by him, I don’t know if I would have moved the way that I did. I know my worth, so I don’t think that I moved in any way like Sincere did.
