The 2026 US Open has not lacked for drama, from the furore over its spectators’ conduct to the action in the arenas—including a thrilling four-and-a-half-hour quarterfinal match between Carlos Alcaraz and Ben Shelton, culminating in a win for the 23-year-old American. (He’ll play Alexander Zverev in tomorrow’s men’s final.) All along, a parade of A-listers has streamed into the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center to see it all unfold—Kaia Gerber, Homer Gere, Tate McRae, Queen Latifah, Matthew McConaughey, Salma Hayek, Nicole Kidman, and Michelle Obama among them.
The celebrities earned their style points, to be sure, but the other 1.1 million fans on the grounds and in the stands also dressed for the love of the game, whether they showed up in crisp white shirtdresses, neatly pleated skirts or trousers, or tops and accessories in that electric shade of tennis-ball green. Happily for us, Michella Jelin was on the scene this week to capture it all.
