For its fifth installment, Vogue World is making an international voyage to Italy, touching down in Milan today, Tuesday, September 22—the first day of Milan Fashion Week. From the historic Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, the show is delighting the city (and the world!) with a series of thematic acts focused on Italian handcrafts and innovation, featuring a few surprise guests, while raising funds for the Quarto Oggiaro Library in northwestern Milan.
“This extraordinary event offers a unique opportunity to celebrate with a global audience the timeless story of Made in Italy, a story of genius and craftsmanship,” Francesca Ragazzi, head of editorial content for Vogue Italia, has said in a statement. “It feels particularly meaningful to do so at this moment in time, in the era of artificial intelligence.”

The team behind Vogue World: Milano includes Anna Wintour and Francesca Ragazzi, with support from a roster of creative talent: Juan Costa Paz, from Paris-based creative studio Convoy, is creative director; fashion is spearheaded by Lady Amanda Harlech, with Peter Aluuan as styling director and Luca Galasso serving as Special Performers and Extended Cast Fashion Director. Choreography is being executed by Charm La’Donna; Jen Green, from Genevieve Productions, is the run-of-show producer; and Stephen Galloway is the show’s movement director.
Judith Clark, Professor of Fashion and Museology at University of the Arts London, joins as Show Curator. Marie Julie Craeymeersch of Mode and the Moon, along with Marco Balich and Balich Wonder Studios, are serving as executive producers. Without Production is overseeing backstage operations.
Pat McGrath Labs returns as the Official Backstage Makeup Brand of Vogue World, with Dame Pat McGrath leading makeup design and execution. Hair styling is being led by Cyndia Harvey, and Eri Narita is leading nail styling.
Select fashion and accessories are sourced from eBay, Vogue’s official vintage and pre-loved partner. Executive music production is being executed by Ivan Striga, with music direction by Gaspard Murphy and Thomas Roussel. Ignace D’Haese of ARF&YES is spearheading lighting design.
The event is being livestreamed around the world, directed by Becky Garner, whose recent work includes Bieberchella (Justin Bieber’s viral Coachella headline performance), and produced by Si Fi Productions.
