Great Medium-Full Coverage for dark Under Eye
I’ve been using this product for about 3 years now. I’m knocking on 30s door and now there’s a more (noticeable) creasing in my under my eyes. I’ve tried so many other concealers and this one has a consistency and coverage that is unmatched. Some tricks for creasing that has helped for me:- Use a primer specifically for *under-eye*. I use smash box’s. I’m finding this is a necessity as we mature 🙄- build in thin layers if you need more coverage and let it dry down a little in between. More product= more creasing if you don’t let it set a little, even before you powder. Also make sure you blend & have it dry down *between* the creases before powder. Lift your under eye up if you have to and get in there 😂- the finer the powder the better that blur effect for under your eyes. I use Mary Kay translucent powder then use the yellow-ish Laura Mercier if I want a brighter look. I use one of those triangle fabric sponge pads to apply powder which has been a godsend- it works well for me to blend with a small brush first. If I put too much or it’s blotchy then a damp under eye sponge helps blend it but usually once this thing dries… It does NOT like to move so sometimes I have to apply a little more to get it tacky then use the sponge.- it does oxidize so be aware of that if you’re doing a blind buy. I use “rich ginger” that I got matched in Sephora. I blindly just bought “coffee” for spot treatment on my face and it was a nearly perfect match for me. Now I can be one of those women who wear minimalist makeup in the summer 😂✨💁🏽♀️ I wear Anastasia 420C or NYX Nutmeg for reference.Also Note: I have oily skin but my under eyes usually are drier so when I apply my mattifying face primer or mattifying spray I try to avoid this area. using my under eye cream & primer keeps me feeling moisturized enough.Hope this helps someone! Disappointing
Jouer Essential High Coverage Liquid Concealer – Brightening Concealer – Color Corrector for Under Eye Dark Circles, Spot Coverage, and Eye Primer – Soft Matte Finish, Butterscotch ($28.00)For the price I was expecting better performance. This works okay. The color I got was butterscotch which was a good color match. I love that the formula is unscented and this did apply very smoothly. For me this is more on the medium to full coverage spectrum. I use this strictly for under eyes. My under eye darkness isn’t super deep and when using this without a corrector the greyness still peeked through. I have tried applying it with fingers, with a brush and with a sponge. The brush provided the best coverage (per usual). In my experience this looks best with a moisturizing color corrector underneath (like Becca), swipe this on top and blend out with a small concealer brush. Then set with a powder (No7 Perfect light Translucent Powder – a great powder for under eyes!) lightly with a fluffy brush. I also tried wearing this without setting and it creased and looked horrid immediately. Tarte shape tape, Nars radiant creamy concealer, L’Oreal infallible full wear, L’Oreal true match radiant serum are all better concealers in my experience and perform loads better.

Smooth and creamy yet soft and matte after you apply. Really good coverage. The application in the photo was done quickly and with a swipe of the concealer about the size of my pinky finger nail. A little goes a long way.
