I wasn’t completely sure about The Shards at first, mainly because I hate horror (I’m a known coward, okay?). But I’m pleased to announce that the terrifying-to-deliciously-extra ratio of this show is just right, at least so far—and lucky for us, we got another two new episodes to devour this week. Episode 3 was quite fun, mostly because of Ivy Wolk, but now, please find every thought I had about Episode 4 of The Shards.

    1. Sherman Oaks mentioned!
    2. Damn, that reminds me, I really need to try to make a reservation at Anajak.
    3. This is so proto-gooning article.
    4. This is a lot of script real estate to spend on a discontinued cereal.
    5. “Girls love guys who drive stick.” Do we?
    6. Not this cropped tank top!
    7. Doing porn to put yourself through Yale because your dad lost all his money to Heaven’s Gate…now that’s ’80s LA, all right.
    8. COACH BEISTE!
    9. Should I rewatch all of Glee?
    10. Would I even survive that at this point in my life?
    11. LIZ?!?
    12. Doing porn?
    13. Great long-sleeve corset.
    14. Oh God, what in the hell is about to happen to Ivy Wolk?
    15. Ugh, what is he making her eat?
    16. Gin and fries sounds good to me, actually.
    17. Was anyone even carding in the ’80s?
    18. I love when white teenage boys explain “a Japanese concept.”
    19. Ah, to be the daughter of “the West Side’s pediatrician to the stars.”
    20. Say what you will about this show, but the needle drops go crazy.
    21. I mean, how does one even begin to go about clearing Blondie’s “Heart of Glass” for Netflix use?
    22. Graham Campbell’s curls are so springy.
    23. I want to pull one!
    24. “Remember fat camp?” LMAO.
    25. Is Cha-Cha a deliberate reference to Cha-Cha DiGregorio from Grease?
    26. I hope so, because otherwise, that’s simply lazy writing.
    27. The concept of this crop-top twink being straight…
    28. Then again, he’s in high school! Plenty of time for him to figure things out.
    29. Ah, to feast on the spoils of a brown paper takeout bag from La Scala.
    30. Illicit gay stuff! Yay!
    31. “Oh my God, you’re such a good person” is insane dirty talk.
    32. Damn, and a “Funkytown” needle drop?
    33. The music supervisors were really just splashing out this episode, weren’t they?
    34. Knife!
    35. I’m scared! “Are you an actor? My dad is a producer, he will put you in one of his movies” is an iconically LA-brained way to beg a knife-wielding stranger for your life.
    36. Susan to the rescue!
    37. “I know you killed your mom.”
    38. Ahhhhh!
    39. I mean…why taunt a potential murderer, king?
    40. I like Bret’s sunglasses.
    41. I don’t mind Susan’s, either.
    42. Oh damn, Ivy’s back in her cage.
    43. And there’s…a new cage recruit?
    44. Max Minghella directed this episode?
    45. Okay!
